From Kids Camp to India

From Kids Camp to India
                                                    — By Adele Kwiecinski

My name is Adele and I’m 34 years old. Teen Quest made an impact on me multiple times in my life. In 1996, I attended the KidsCamp, and then as a teenager, I attended the Power Charge Fall Retreat with Teen Quest, both back when it was located at Laurel Hill State Park. Some of my best childhood memories came from this organization, and now as an adult, I get to share those memories with my own children. I’m now a youth leader at my church and this fall, I was able to attend Power Charge with our youth group. I was also able to introduce our daughter to Teen Quest for the first time at the retreat, and I’ve already seen the difference it’s made in her life!

When I was 16, the Lord introduced me to a missionary from India. He prayed over me, and the Lord spoke to him and told him that day I would serve with him in India. This past July, seventeen years later, I went with my mom on my first mission trip to India.

After a lot of searching online, I found the missionary and I was able to meet with him briefly while I was there. We were not able to serve together, but we shared a meal and discussed the future. I learned that day that this trip was a stepping stone for me. After a few more meetings with him back in the states, the Lord pressed into my heart a yearly trip to Mandapeta, India, to serve with this missionary.

I will be traveling back to India with a small team in June of 2017, and I plan on going back every summer. It took a long while to unfold the plan God has in my life, but now that the door is open, I’m running full force into His Will!

” Thank you, Teen Quest, for helping to mold me into the woman I am today! I am forever grateful for the impact you made in my life, and I look forward to our next meeting! “
