Do You REALLY Need School?

Are you even thinking about school?   Are you gripping because you can’t see you friends….   75 and do homework?  (Well, maybe not the homework part.)

There’s more to learning than what we learn in school….

We can gain so much information throughout all our years in school and that’s a good thing, but what do we do with that knowledge?     We need to apply understanding and I believe mostly wisdom.

Have you ever thought about the difference between knowledge, understanding and wisdom?

Throughout scripture, the words knowledge, understanding, and wisdom are often linked together.

  1. Knowledge is the “input” of information to our mind.
  1. Understanding involves processing the information in our mind.
  1. Wisdom is using (output) the knowledge and understanding that we have processed.

Wisdom is so important.

Job 12:13 says, “With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding.

This is really cool!     God says He’ll give us wisdom if we only ask.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.   James 1:5

With wisdom, we will know how to use our knowledge with God’s guidance.   We will make an impact on society for the Lord; we will live God’s best life for us; we will make the right decisions.

James 3:17-18
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Besides knowing what God wants me to do, His wisdom produces love, mercy ,and respect for others.

I want wisdom. Don’t you?       It comes from God.

SO ….  While you’re home with no homework, spend time with the Lord.  Ask Him for His wisdom today!

Time with God is so important.  That’s where we find this wisdom.    Through reading the Word and praying.

PS  You do Need school too!
