We are expecting a HUGE crowd in the middle of February for Snow Camp. Hundreds of students are still signing up and we need to pay for twenty beds to host these kids.
Imagine that you’re a 15 year old boy named Trey. You are trying to find yourself with so many issues in your life; Your parents are divorcing and your best friend has just betrayed you and you feel like you have no friends. Your youth pastor has told you about a weekend retreat coming up with lots of activities at the Teen Quest Ranch that sounds like a blast.
Because there might not be anywhere for you to sleep. We are out of beds.”
Imagine helping hundreds of kids …. Even thousands of kids….
You can impact a student’s life, a student like Trey and many like him. Right now we need funds to pay for 20 beds with 20 connectors to bunk them and 20 mattresses to make them comfortable.
Each bed unit costs Teen Quest $175.
Something as simple as a bed can change a needy students’ life forever. Because 20 more students can attend camp, there will be 20 more students hearing the Gospel.
We have never turned a student away from our camps where they can hear the life-saving message of the gospel. We don’t want to start now.
This past weekend at Snow Camp, former Cleveland Indians baseball pitcher, Tom McGough shared Christ’s love and forgiveness with the students and at the end of his message, the prayer room filled with students seeking God. They sought God for salvation and for re-dedicating their lives to Him fully.
We want to repeat that each weekend this winter. But we need your help.
We don’t want to miss one student like Trey. We need to pay for more beds immediately!
Youth leaders are signing up the kids and now we don’t want to turn them away.
We need your help to buy one bunk unit for $350, or 1 bed unit – $175.
Maybe you can just give a small gift. I don’t want you to be left out of the blessing of helping a student find Christ and grow stronger in Him. Whatever you can give is a blessing and you are part of that.
Snow Camp is continuing with hundreds of students attending each week through the first weekend of March at our youth mission’s headquarters, located at the Teen Quest Ranch located in Somerset County Pennsylvania.
We are unique from other camps because we are not just a camp, but a youth mission. We are actively working with kids year round. When at the Ranch, kids have the chance to play and then listen to the Word.
Paintball, horses, snow tubing, our Extreme Barn with many activities such as mini-golf, Nine Square in the Air, a 27-foot climbing wall, indoor archery range, skatepark and GaGa ball along with basketball are offered to give the kids the time of their lives while here.
We have four meetings each weekend during Snow Camp where we share the life-saving salvation message and show teens how to effectively walk their faith.
Last year we appealed to you to help us buy new mattresses. Some of the old ones were over thirty years old. We also needed new ones for the cabin we built. We are thankful for the many who helped us buy those mattresses. We have been able to accommodate more students so more can hear the Word of God from great speakers.
Why do I share that with you? Because today those who helped with that project know they had a part in a student’s spiritual journey… actually, many students’ spiritual journeys because they had a place to sleep while here.
You can have a part in furthering the outreach of sharing the gospel with this generation of teenagers right now. Click here to help us get more beds so students can come to Snow Camp this winter and hear about God’s love and forgiveness.
We at Teen Quest are dedicated to preaching the Gospel of God’s love and forgiveness through repentance to each and every student who attends our camps. We must pay for beds to accommodate each student. As you give today – to purchase one, two, or ten beds, you will be helping us increase our outreach. Years from now, you will know that what you do today will be blessed over and over.
With your help, twenty more students can hear the Gospel each weekend in the next few weeks (that’s an extra 140 students!)
Students who have challenges in their lives that seem impossible to them will hear the Answer we have to share with them.
What would happen if the “Treys” couldn’t attend but yet really wanted to? What if we didn’t have enough beds? Right now we don’t have enough for the numbers who are signing up. We need you to join us today in purchasing a bed for $175 or 2 beds for $350 or more. Many donations will add up to be able to reach our goal. Please help us make room for these extra kids that want to come to Snow Camp.
Yours for youth,
Rev. Mark Witt, Executive Director
