Recently I overheard a girl say she didn’t feel safe. She was attending a Christian event surrounded by a lot of people.  There were no threats – there had been no threatening happenings.
Kids are now being taught a philosophy that if they don’t feel safe – speak out and make things change for them. It’s creating a fear, some healthy…. some unfounded.
Are you fearful right now?
Jesus said, “I am with you always.”
Jesus said, “Do not be afraid.”
Jesus said, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
Yes- there are situations where it we wouldn’t be safe –
Getting in the car of a stranger
Walking into the midst of battle
Standing on a slippery rock cliff
We can use good judgement to protect ourselves, but sometimes danger or even sickness is all around us, not because of anything we’ve done but because we live in a fallen world.
Right now, we need to grow our trust in a mighty God who perfectly created the universe and knows everything about us.
How does that look like?

1. Read the Word Find passages that deal with fear and faith.
