Spinning The Tale…

In the 1930s during the great depression, Grandma and Grandpa inherited a large sum of money and purchased one hundred and forty acres, a farmhouse and a barn.  They began farming on the property we now know as the Teen Quest Ranch. They had a very big family with children and grandchildren living on the farm along with many servants, maids and hired hands.

In October of 1933 two of their grandchildren, John and Mike, got into a big argument in the hallway of the old farm house over religion. Mike made a spiritual commitment to follow Christ and tried to convince John to do the same.  John wanted nothing at all to do with it… in fact… he wouldn’t even talk about it.  During a big argument Mike invited John to at least go with him to the old pond to fish. John was reluctant but agreed to go with him anyway.

It was about 10pm the night of 1934 when John and Mike were on a boat in the little pond below the house when a bad tornado hit, followed by rain, lightning and flooding. The family members were stunned when they learned that Mike had drowned in the water that same night.

During this first tragedy hired hands were in the corn fields, maids were serving food to family members in the dining room, and some were working at the pond.

Just after the great storm took place many of the family members and servants were delusional and some were just out of their minds…the storm and the tragedy had a major impact on this family and the servants.

Thieves would even come on the property to take advantage of stealing just after this storm. Family members found these men and locked them up in the basement of the house.

John could not deal with it all, the guilt of Mike drowning, the confusion of family members and the hard times.

He left the farm and went with his friends drinking, gambling and trying to forget about his brother’s death.  On the way back John lost control of his motorcycle, ran off the road, hit a tree and was killed instantly. His body was so marred that even the local newspaper would not go into detail describing this tragedy.

Now Grandpa and Grandma were in shock over the loss of two grandchildren, the devastation of the farm, the vandalism and the confusion that followed.

For decades no one from the local community would step foot on this property because of the mental condition of the family members and hired hands. The farm was considered by the locals as a forbidden place.

Now after many years, neighbors and friends are once again invited to see the property just as it was back in the 1930’s. Keep in mind that some of the family members are still out of their minds from the storm and tragedies, some have passed on and some simply want to leave but can not.

We caution you not to release any of the family members from the property for this could be a tragic mistake.

Please show respect to the family during this tragedy as many are still mourning over their lost loved ones.

Please do not enter if you have coffin spells, heart problems, a nervous condition or panic attacks.   You will not be the same when you encounter the old farm. Be on guard… because you are about to enter… SCAREMARE….
